Qualifications & Requirements
• Must be legally eligible to own and purchase firearms.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must not use marijuana (medical or recreational) or other illegal substances.
• 1+ year of retail store experience (not just cashiering) required.
• Firearms sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of firearms, selling skills, and attention to paperwork standards.
• Outdoor sports sales preferred – especially fishing and sit-on-top kayaks.
• Ability to work independently and complete computer-based training.
• Must be comfortable using POS systems, handheld devices, and email.
• Must have a valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Tennessee Handgun Carry Permit preferred.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to lift 20 lbs repetitively and 31–50 lbs intermittently.
• Occasionally lift kayaks to 120 lbs with a partner.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity for using tools and POS equipment.
• Good vision and hearing.
• Frequent stooping, crouching, grasping, and lifting are required.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Greet and assist customers with firearms and kayak purchases.
• Operate POS systems to complete sales transactions.
• Stock shelves, merchandise products, and maintain displays.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Use social media to promote products and respond to inquiries.
• Practice and promote firearms safety and company best practices.
Schedule & Availability
• Flexible scheduling options (Full-Time or Part-Time).
• Full-Time: 4–5 days/week, 35–45 hours (overtime paid).
• Part-Time: Less than 35 hours/week.
• Store Hours:
- Monday to Friday: 9:45 AM – 6:15 PM
- Saturday: 8:45 AM – 6:15 PM
- Closed Sundays (except for occasional events)
• Closed on major holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Easter, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
Compensation & Benefits
• Hourly Pay: $14 – $17/hour (based on experience & ability).

CONTRACT FIREARMS INSTRUCTOR
NRA or USCCA and State of Tennessee Certified Firearms Instructor
$23.33 per hour to $70.00 per hour (based on the number of students in attendance)

We are seeking certified instructor contractors capable of teaching our custom Basic Handgun Safety/Concealed Weapons License Class (not the NRA version), Tennessee Enhanced Carry Permit classes, and private instruction.
Classes are held:
• Saturday mornings & afternoons
• Weekday afternoons or evenings
• Sunday afternoons
Instructors typically teach two classes per month but may opt to teach more. Pay ranges from $23.33 to $70.00 per hour, depending on the number of students in attendance. Promoting classes increases attendance and pay.

Position Overview
This role supports Frontier Firearms USA's mission to foster responsible gun ownership by providing education in a friendly environment. Instructors must offer excellent customer service and promote Frontier Firearms courses.
Responsibilities & Duties
• Provide firearms training and qualification
• Conduct personal and remedial instruction
• Operate and instruct with shotguns, handguns, and rifles
• Conduct inspections of student firearms
• Follow local, state, and federal firearm laws
• Use TNTAP Handgun Instructor Data Entry
• Greet and assist customers
• Promote and register students using Eventbrite
• Follow firearm safety protocols
• Instruct various handgun classes and private lessons
• Maintain clean, safe classroom and range environments
• Represent Frontier Firearms and sponsored products positively
• Follow the contract instructor's dress code
Minimum Skills & Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 21+ years of age
• 1+ year experience in concealed carry and firearms safety instruction
• NRA Basic Pistol Instructor or Law Enforcement Pistol Instructor certification
• NRA Range Safety Officer certification
• Strong firearms safety knowledge
• Tennessee Enhanced Handgun Carry Permit
• Tennessee Handgun Instructor certification
• Preferred: military, law enforcement, legal background, tactical or non-lethal training experience
• Able to manage classroom and range safety independently
• Instructor liability insurance ($1M incident/$1M / $1M aggregate)
• Strong public speaking, interpersonal, and computer skills
• Ability to run PowerPoint and manage lesson plans
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs overhead
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
• Flexible to teach on weeknights, weekdays, Saturdays, or Sundays
